You are probably searching for than inner peace and contentment, an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday stressful living. Primordial sound meditation claims to offer that inner peace. I can't say that I have practiced this type of meditation myself but I have taken part in community meditations that encourage us to make the "ohm" sound. When everyone in a room is making that sound in their own time and in their own way the effect is amazing and you are transported into different level of being that is hard to describe

Primordial Sound Meditation is a healing practice that allows us to experience inner calm and deep relaxation. For thousands of years, people have used meditation to move beyond the mind's busy activity and emotional turbulence into profound peace and expanded awareness.

The benefits of meditation are very well documented. If more people were to experience it there would certainly be far fewer ills in our world.

The most direct way to experience inner silence and well-being is meditation. As scientific research reveals, when you meditate, your breathing slows, blood pressure decreases, and stress hormone levels fall.

There are a lot of misconceptions about meditation and also a lot of confusion due to the many different meditation practices available. At the end of the day it is all about learning to be a human being and not a human "doing". So many of us are addicted to being busy. It has almost become a guilty obsession. We don't even allow ourselves the pleasure of sitting down and relaxing. If we did we would soon start to experience an inner stillness that isn't "achieved" it just happens.
